Onvio is a privately held company headquartered in Salem New Hampshire. Our primary manufacturing facility is a wholly owned subsidiary and located in beautiful Puebla Mexico.

Our History

Dojen (cycloidal reducers) founded in Woburn Massachusetts.

1982

Dojen acquired by Lenze USA.

1987

Mectrol Corporation acquires Dojen as the foundation of mechanical drives business.

1990

Mectrol Corporation opens manufacturing facility in Puebla, Mexico.

1996

Planetary reducers are added to standard products.

1998

Timing belt product line is sold to Gates Corporation, and all metal based precision components business is renamed Onvio LLC.

2005

Onvio begins manufacturing wheel motors for mobile robots.

2006

Onvio LLC relocates to new building in Salem NH (current headquarters).

2007

Onvio introduces contract manufacturing as a standard offering.

2013

Onvio expands manufacturing facility in Puebla Mexico, adding grinding capabilities and multiple milling and turning centers.

2015
